Happy New Year Martina. What was your most outstanding achievement at GenomSys in 2021?
I think that picking only one achievement won’t be fair to the whole team’s effort in 2021. When I joined the team, we were still defining a new vision of the company. Everything was evolving for each company unit: business, quality and regulatory, and development. In a short time, we were able to set quite high objectives for us to reach by the end of the year. We wanted to be pioneers in the genomic field and we achieved it in a short time and limited resources, with our relentless contributions the whole time.
What was the most important thing you learned in 2021?
When you are in such an innovative environment, there is always something new to learn, and this is exciting and challenging at the same time. GenomSys gave me the opportunity to grow in my position, as I also had the chance to work in the IVD field. The fact that GenomSys is located at two different sites also required changing my way of responding to problems and new requests with a more open-minded approach.
What are your expectations for you and/or GenomSys for 2022?
I’m expecting 2022 to be even more challenging than 2021. We will have to keep pace with a competitive and innovative market and considerable legislative changes that will require a substantial effort of the whole team. I expect to see GenomSys increase its image and reputation and to see GenomSys’ products among the most used in the chosen markets.
