GenomSys will be participating at this year’s annual meeting of the American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) in Los Angeles from October 25th – 29th.

The event is the biggest and most significant conference in the world concerning genetics. This year in Los Angeles, the genetics community comes together to showcase the latest scientific findings and new laboratory innovations and technology for a five-day conference. We are excited to attend and get a chance to present GenomSys, our products and meet with customers and partners.

GenomSys Claudio AlbertiI am very excited to attend this year’s ASHG and meet with other innovators and users within the genetic community. I believe that our unique platform and solutions based on the ISO/IEC 23092 (MPEG-G) standard deliver substantial advantages in processing large amounts of genomics data. Our platform, for example, enables an accelerated go-to-market for genomic application vendors and supports sequencer manufacturers in leveraging the benefits of the MPEG-G standard.” says Claudio Alberti, Chief Technology Officer of GenomSys.

GenomSys led and substantially contributed to the development and publication in 2020 of the new and only ISO standard for genomic data (ISO/IEC 23092 MPEG-G, “the MP3 equivalent for genomic data”), fostering innovation and interoperability.

Our solutions reduce overall costs (storage needs -70%), speed data transmission, and analyses, facilitate data re-use, assure privacy and guarantee quality and robustness. Swiss-level safe, ISO-13485 quality certified.

More recently, GenomSys developed a platform that enables genomic application providers to accelerate their go-to-market and sequencing machine vendors to leverage MPEG-G’s benefits directly. As well as specific solutions such as a software toolkit (GenomSys MPEG-G Tool Kit), enabling everyone to benefit from the new standard and an intuitive germline analysis platform (GenomSys Variant Analyzerfor genomic labs, both CE-marked IVD MD.
