Meet Stefania and learn more about her through the following quick questions:

Good morning Stefania. What do you do at GenomSys and what are you currently working on?
GenomSys - Stefania Lonoce

Good morning! At GenomSys, I am an administrative clerk. My primary task is accounting, but I am also in charge of recording payments in the bank, issuing invoices, and mediating with some Stakeholders.

What is your take on personalized medicine and what role does GenomSys play in that?

Ever since we were children, we have been told that every person is different. Why we are different lies – despite a match of 99.9% – within our genes because the 0.1% still provide 3 million possibilities for individuality. Traditional medicine, with its “one-size-fits-all” motto, can be applied to a large percentage of the population, but it cannot represent all people. In a way, it is no different from a one-size-fits-all dress – how many of us have tried one and immediately put it back on the shelf? Personalized medicine can empower anyone to have a more tailored diagnosis and a better treatment.

GenomSys is committed through its products to providing access to the tools for change: from traditional medicine to personalized medicine.

What is the greatest benefit of MPEG-G in your opinion?

Honestly, I’m not an expert in genomics, much less biotechnology, but the aspect that impresses me the most about MPEG-G is the ease of data transmission. I like the idea of being able to access at any time, especially the saddest of times, data that can help me and the people closest to me.

Why did you join GenomSys?

GenomSys is an innovative startup with noble yet revolutionary goals composed of a young team. I find it to be a great opportunity for my professional growth.

When you’re not handling GenomSys’ invoices, what do you do in your time?

Having a dog, I try to be outdoors as much as possible. I like hiking but also enjoy the city. I am also fond of manual work, so every now and then, I dabble in the construction of objects … not always with positive outcomes!

Do you listen to podcasts? What are you currently listening to?

I listen to podcasts a lot, particularly the ones that talk about true crime.
