Contacted by Startupticker.ch, GenomSys Marketing Manager Lucas Laner explains that the release of GenomSys Variant Analyzer is a milestone for the company, as it is the worldwide first – to its knowledge – genomic analysis software fully running on the ISO/IEC-23092 genomic data standard (MPEG-G) with a direct impact on the genomic community. Combining deep expertise in data compression and computing with life sciences and bioinformatics capabilities, the technology developed by GenomSys allows for efficient processing and sharing of DNA data. In addition it integrates the variant databases curated by Varsome developed by the Swiss start-up Saphetor.
